The Leopard Bar and Terrace at The Montague on the Gardens Hotel is just such an oasis, tucked snugly away from the city streets. The Leopard Bar offers a perfect blend of chic traditional British elegance and colonial South African inspired furnishings, alongside comfortable, quiet, cosy corners and leads onto the Leopard Bar Terrace. A climatized terrace overlooking the Bedford Gardens, where you can enjoy drinks and food throughout seasons. Enjoy a variety of bar snacks and meals, and an excellent selection of drinks and expertly mixed cocktails whilst listening to the relaxing live entertainment which is provided in the bar every Monday to Saturday evening.
Breakfast Room
Breakfast is served daily in The Blue Door Bistro. The elegant setting exudes a classic London charm, with mahogany panelling and mirrored glass, a bright and airy space to begin your day. Executive Chef Martin Halls ensures that only the finest locally-sourced ingredients are used to create sublime breakfast dishes.Both continental and traditional English breakfasts can be supplemented with grilled kippers, eggs Benedict, American pancakes, waffles and smoked salmon. Delicious vegan and gluten free options include our 'build your own porridge', made with milk or water and topped with your choice of fruits, berries, nuts and seeds. Add a glass of Champagne for an indulgent morning ritual.

Ensuring guests feel rested and rejuvenated is our goal at The Montague on the Gardens. We offer a modest but well-equipped fitness room, and can organise complimentary access to a nearby Fitness First gym. There is no short of jogging options at the pleasant Russell Square and Bloomsbury Square. We offer a range of beauty and relaxation specialists that can provide in-room therapies, such as massage, reflexology, aromatherapy, and facials. Our Concierge can also provide you with a yoga mat and accompanying DVD. Our herb and gooseberry garden provides fresh seasonal ingredients to our kitchen, headed by Executive Chef Martin Halls, who has incorporated vegan, vegetarian and healthy options within his menus. The Gardens are home to 20,000 of the Bloomsbury Bees, a joint venture between the hotel and Bedford Estates. They're helping us do our bit when it comes to improving the biodiversity and sustainability of the local ecosystem.

Enjoy a variety of bar snacks and meals, and an excellent selection of drinks and expertly mixed cocktails whilst listening to the relaxing live entertainment which is provided in the bar every Monday to Saturday evening. We have live music Monday to Saturday, with a jazz band on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

The Montague on the Gardens operates a strict non-smoking policy. Failure to adhere may result in a penalty charge. Smoking is permitted only in designated areas of the hotel.

The Garden Terrace is also an ideal venue in which to enjoy a leisurely lunch overlooking the peaceful gardens of the Bedford Estate. There's nowhere better to relax with friends on a sunny afternoon than on the wood decked Garden Terrace and sample fresh dishes from our talented kitchen team. Enjoy the quintessential British tradition of Afternoon Tea, with freshly baked scones served with clotted cream and homemade jam, a selection of delicious sandwiches and an array of pastries. An extensive selection of teas completes the experience, or perhaps add a glass of bubbles to celebrate the occasion in style.
Restaurant
The Blue Door Bistro provides a welcoming and informal bistro-style setting, with a superb à la Carte menu to match. Light and airy at lunchtime, warm and cosy by evening, the room is decorated on three sides with a panoramic view of London circa 1849. Together with the rich mahogany panelled walls, effective use of mirrored glass, and contemporary wrought iron wall lights, an ambience rooted in the hotel's location is beautifully achieved. Dine with us and you can enjoy a Table d'Hote/Pre-theatre menu for £25 per person for two courses, or £30 for three.

For wedding parties with a minimum spend of £8,000 or higher, the happy couple will enjoy a night in one of our elegant Bridal Suites, with a Romantic Turndown, a bottle of Champagne and Full English breakfast the following morning, as well as an exclusively reserved breakfast area for any guests staying the night in the hotel.
