The Ocean Room
The Ocean Room at The Sanctuary at Kiawah Island Golf Resort is the Mobil 4 Star and AAA 4 Diamond restaurant. Named "Restaurant of the Year" by The Charleston Post and Courier, it offers a menu created by Chef Kevin Ives. The cuisine is influenced by the rich and decadent flavors, spices, fruits and cultures of Spain, southern France, Italy and North Africa.
The Ocean Room has received once again Wine Spectator's "Best of Award of Excellence 2007".
Luxurious oceanfront dining awaits our guests, as they experience seasonally inspired and continuously evolving meals consisting of fish, vegetarian, shellfish, red meats, pork and game masterfully prepared by Chef Ives and his team. In addition to the ever-changing a la carte menu, Chef Ives also designs a five course "Tasting Menu" on a monthly basis. A great way to enjoy each other's company and allow the Ocean Room service team to take control of your evening and make you feel like royalty.The wine program at The Ocean Room consists of a wine list with close to 1,000 options and over 11,000 bottles in stock. Our wines are carefully selected from little boutique vineyards to large well known wine makers. We have a broad selection of old and new world wines, a large collection of different format bottles and several rare verticals.
The Ocean Room offers two private rooms that seat up to 18 guests comfortably. The Bar at The Ocean Room
Located adjacent to the restaurant, The Bar at The Ocean Room provides the perfect place to enjoy a fresh fruit Martini or specialty infused spirit. Perhaps you would prefer one of our rare and fine cognacs with a cigar on the patio overlooking the ocean. Savor that beautiful ocean view while sitting next to the fireplace amid magogany paneling or on the Chesterfield leather sofa while tasting artisanal or fam house cheese plates. The bar also offers a menu for the ladies and gentlemen that would like a less formal experience, but the same level of perfection. Serving appetizers from our dinner menu created by the chef of our signature restaurant.

Jasmine Porch
Walls of authentic Charleston brick, oak-plank floors and windows that overlook the ocean create the ideal setting for traditional Lowcountry cuisine composed of fresh native ingredients with a nod to seafood. An ultimately relaxing and casual dining experience served with warmth and cheer. Dine on the terrace and breathe in the ocean air while enjoying chef’s specialties.
Jasmine Porch features the island’s grand buffet breakfast, which includes made-to-order omelets, hot breakfast specialties, fresh pastries, fruits and cereals. Every Sunday, islanders gather for our popular Jazz Buffet Brunch highlighted by delicious food and spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean.

Serving lunch and dinner. Located only a few yards away from Kiawah’s pristine beach. Families and adults can enjoy two oceanfront pools, with music and poolside or beachside services. The Sanctuary at Kiawah Island Golf Resort Discover gourmet ice cream and frozen yogurt made in a variety of flavors, just steps from the beach and pool area. Selections also include candies, pralines and sweets for all ages. Come enjoy a sundae bar at our Ice Cream Social. Buy your favorite ice cream and all of the toppings are included.
