Cape Town
Cape Town is southern Africa's most beautiful, most romantic and most-visited city. Few urban centers anywhere can match its setting along the Cape Peninsula spine, which slides like the mighty tail of the continent into the Atlantic Ocean. By far the most striking - and famous - of its sights is Table Mountain, frequently mantled by clouds, and rearing up from the middle of the city to provide a constantly changing vista to the suburbs below. Table Mountain is the city's solid core which divides the city into distinct zones with public gardens, wilderness, forests, hiking routes, vineyards and desirable residential areas trailing down it's lower slopes.
Shamwari
This privately owned 25,000 hectares of South African land is the epitome of Safari and Game Reserve. Shamwari not only boasts the birth place of political leader and philanthropist Nelson Mandela, but this reserve leads and focuses in the development and rehabilitation of the Eastern Cape's ecosystem to its natural condition. This wildlife sanctuary, which is also malaria-free, gives lifetime care to the coveted "Big Five."
Grootbos Nature Reserve
Grootbos Nature Reserve is located above South Africa's Walker Bay, which is where southern right whales calve from June to November and great white sharks are known to linger in the waters. Enjoy whale and shark watching, nature hikes, horseback riding and many outdoor activities while visiting the Reserve.
