Hoku's

Hoku's at The Kahala Hotel & Resort is heralded for its innovative fusion fare which melds Hawaiian, Asian and European flavors.

Consistently ranked as one of Hawaii's best restaurants, Hoku's recently underwent a makeover and unveiled a new menu. With a twist on contemporary Island cuisine, Hoku's returns to the basics and revamps the classics.

Dining at Hoku’s is an elevated, extraordinary sensory experience. Elegant and refined, yet comfortable and relaxed, grounded in the Legacy of The Kahala. While panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean may distract, the focus here is on the culinary adventure to unfold. Trained in Michelin-starred restaurants around the world, Chef Jonathan Mizukami blends French-influenced cuisine with fresh local flavors.

Hoku's has a breathtaking beachside setting with panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean from every table in the multi-level dining room. Also competing for guest's attention is the open kitchen featuring fiery hot woks, a kiawe wood grill, and tandoori and wood-burning ovens.

Plumeria Beach House

On the edge of the white sands of Kahala, the oceanside Plumeria Beach House is our open-air, all day dining restaurant.

Guests will enjoy Hawaii's beautiful sunshine and stunning coastal view at the Plumeria Beach House. The restaurant is bathed in warm, natural earth tones reminiscent of a comfortable island home, with indoor and outdoor terraces taking full advantage of breezy trade winds.

 It's an ideal choice for casual dining, quiet meetings and cocktails at sunset, like our famous Mai Tai and specialties like Mango Madness or the popular Lava Flow.

The expanded a la carte menu features signature items to fit any occasion such as The Kahala Burger using certified angus ground beef with a fried egg, white cheddar cheese, guacamole, bacon, thinly sliced onions served with french fries or our freshly made Gluten Free French Toast with Kahala Maple Butter for breakfast or a hearty Braised Lamb Shank Cassoulet.

The Veranda

The Veranda at The Kahala is the newest 'in' spot for the trendy Honolulu crowd as well as hotel guests looking for the place to see and be seen. This popular lounge now has a more sophisticated and sleek air about it, with furnishings from The Tommy Bahamas line as well as other furniture designers, enhanced by area rugs to create little lounging spaces. Just off the beautiful Lobby, The Veranda offers indoor and outdoor seating, overlooking the beach, pool and Dolphin lagoon. Its alfresco space now features wood flooring and contemporary furniture.

Afternoon tea is a delight with delicate finger sandwiches and pastries and teas from The Harney Collection. The Veranda is the perfect venue for cocktails and light jazz in the evening and offers a selection of wines by the glass from top vintners from the Old and the New World. A menu of Mediterranean inspired small plates complements the innovative cocktail list.

Thursday through Saturday, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00p.m. Enjoy cocktails and late night snacks accompanied by live entertainment. You won't find a cozier spot for late night dates.

Seaside Grill

With a direct view of the Pacific Ocean, Seaside Grill is perfect for lunch after a relaxing morning at the pool, a swim with the Dolphins, beach activities or a shopping excursion to Waikiki.

Lunch is served at beachside tables, with views of the ocean and beach activity. 

Menus include fresh bounty from local waters, sandwiches and salads, hamburgers and delectable desserts, all served with refreshing drinks from the poolside bar.

Seaside Grill is available in the evening for private functions and special celebrations.

Arancino at The Kahala

Recognized as the Best Italian Restaurant in Hawaii, Arancino at The Kahala showcases a modern take on classic Italian dishes featuring fine ingredients imported from Italy and fresh local products from land and sea. Experience a culinary journey of Italy through Executive Chef Daisuke Hamamoto's thoughtfully crafted menu which features a wide selection of house-made pastas, brick oven pizzas, gibier (game meat delicacies) and more. In addition, an extensive wine list designed by Shinya Tasaki, winner of the ‘World's Best Sommelier Award’ in 1995, features different premium wines from Italy and Pacific Rim countries around Hawaii. Complete your dining experience with house made dessert creations by our pastry team along with after dinner beverage offerings.
