Grant Grill

Opened in 1951, the Grant Grill immediately established itself as San Diego’s premier dining experience. Today, the graceful wood-paneled restaurant has become an icon of elegance, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner seven days a week to both city residents and travelers, who come in search of authentic Californian cuisine. The seasonal menu incorporates the best California produce, Pacific seafood, prime meats and poultry, and fresh herbs into award-winning dishes.

Start your day with farm-fresh eggs, homemade pastries, French vanilla brioche toast, or a house-smoked salmon omelet. For lunch or dinner, exquisite options include such signature dishes as jumbo diver scallops, Grant Grill mock turtle soup, and dry-aged prime rib-eye with chanterelle mushrooms, marrow, Onoway potatoes, and Bordelaise sauce.

Grant Lounge

Named one of the country’s best hotel bars, the Grant Grill Lounge is at the forefront of industry-leading beverage innovations with enticing signature cocktails, craft beers, and wines.

Once a power spot for local businessmen, the Grant Grill Lounge has evolved into an unrivaled craft-cocktail destination. An iconic dining establishment since 1951, the lounge is now at the forefront of the nation’s nightlife and bar culture. A collection of elevated community tables and modern furnishings complement our sleek granite-top bar, welcoming guests into a sophisticated world where they can discover indigenous cuisine and craft libations.

Beyond a Wine Spectator-awarded wine list and an impressive collection of local and international craft beers, the lounge’s signature cocktails remain the stars of the menu. THE US GRANT’s exclusive cocktails include our own 100-Day Barrel-Aged Centennial Manhattan—created in partnership with High West Whiskey to commemorate the hotel’s 100th anniversary—as well as the Genepi Americana, a whiskey-based liqueur that was the silver medal winner at the 2015 Los Angeles International Spirits Competition.

In addition to our signature cocktails, every three to four months, the lounge finds inspiration from the season to create a limited-time cocktail menu. Winter’s array of fresh citrus concoctions has included the Tropical Tangerine Batida, and the holiday season’s classic tastes and traditions inspired the pumpkin- and star anise-infused rum Smashing Pumpkin, which was featured on the Food Network’s The Best Thing I Ever Ate.

For culinary complements, the lounge menu features shareable plates like soft pretzel bites with dill butter, as well as such entrée options as the Grant Grill burger.

From Sunday through Thursday, happy hour offers specially-priced drinks and bites. Urban energy abounds Thursday through Saturday nights with live music in Grant Grill Lounge, including jazz, rock, blues, samba, and pop.
