Artisans Terrace Suite

An homage to the diverse and vibrant spirit of New York City, The Artisans Terrace Suite is a testament to the exquisite craftsmanship, artistry, and elegant design of the city's artisans, and their enduring legacy on the city's cultural landscape. Named after the "Artisans' Gate" entrance to Central Park at 7th Avenue, the suite features bold, stylish design and an aesthetic which nods to George Gershwin's timeless "Rhapsody in Blue". Finishes are a contemporary interpretation of the Art Deco movement, capturing the essence of the Jazz Age with bold, geometric forms and vibrant colors. From the checkerboard marble floor and raw porcelain vessels in the foyer to the soft cream Venetian plaster throughout the suite, a mix of textures adds depth to the design. By blending elements of the past with contemporary luxury, the suite effortlessly instills a harmonious balance between the historic essence of New York and modern indulgence. A hand-painted, over scaled abstract mural was created specifically for the suite's open living room, which overlooks the Manhattan skyline; a custom installation above one of the suite's beds is composed of deconstructed piano's keys. Ornate hardware throughout the space reflects the art of the work done by craftspeople working by hand to create pieces that artfully marry form and function. The expansive terrace wraps around three sides of the Artisans Terrace Suite, providing iconic views of the variety of architectural styles found in midtown, from the elaborate terracotta Francis I-style facade of nearby Alwyn Court to the breathtaking sheer glass walls of modern skyscrapers. With ample space to unwind in the sun or dine on the patio, the terrace also features space to indulge in recreation high above the fray, with a miniature putting green and table tennis set.

Meadow Terrace Suite

The Meadow Terrace Suite is an embodiment of sophisticated, decorative, and feminine design, combining classic and contemporary aesthetics. The suite embraces natural light, with its large windows and terrace offering mesmerizing views of Central Park and the bustling Columbus Circle. These expansive vistas invite the beauty of the outdoors to merge seamlessly with the luxurious interior, creating a serene and enchanting atmosphere. Soft, muted tones from the backdrop for an extensive collection of original, curated works of art, adding an additional layer of refinement to the space. Each carefully selected piece elevates the suite's ambiance, showcasing a meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to tasteful indulgence. Inspired by the legendary Elsie de Wolfe, the renowned Manhattan interior decorator and noted socialite, the opulent and sumptuous design of the suite pays homage to her remarkable influence. Every aspect of the suite reflects de Wolfe's refined elegance and unwavering commitment to detail, creating an ambiance that is both captivating and thoughtfully indulgent. A dimensional plaster triptych mural adorns the foyer, serving as a striking focal point that captivates guests from the moment they enter. Hand crafted Venetian plaster in the foyer exudes sophistication, while intricately designed marble casing, polished to a mirror-like sheen, reflect warm light, creating an ethereal ambiance. The Meadow Terrace Suite offers ample space and comfort, including a second bedroom boasting a set of queen beds, ideal for families or groups seeking relaxation in refined surroundings. The terrace, overlooking Central Park's idyllic Sheep Meadow, embraces the park's essential purpose as a haven for urban relaxation. It provides an inviting space for guests to unwind, bask in the tranquility of nature, and savor the picturesque views. The Meadow Terrace Suite is a true testament to refined living and an unforgettable experience in the heart of New York City.

Delacorte Presidential Suite

The Delacorte Presidential Suite offers a serene and natural sanctuary overlooking Central Park. Drawing inspiration from the ecological and spiritual qualities of the Park, every design element of the suite is woven together like threads in a larger fabric, mirroring the seamless harmony found in nature. The suite's palette is influenced by the nearby flora and faun, blending the vibrant colors of nature with the contemporary artwork commissioned for the reimagining of the space. Each piece serves as a reminder of the Park's natural wonders and profound impact they have on the city's landscape. The suite's theme was inspired by George T. Delacorte, founder of the Dell Publishing empire and quintessential NYC philanthropist, known especially for his dedication to the beautification and preservation of Central Park. Delacorte funded the Alice in Wonderland sculpture, Delacorte Clock and most famously the Delacorte Theater, home of Shakespear in the Park. The colors and textures throughout the space mirror Central Park's abundant greenery, melding natural elements with refined elegance, seamlessly bringing the outdoors into the suite. Thoughtful redesign maximized the space in the suite, creating an impactful entryway and open living and dining room, featuring a table for 8 crafted from sustainably sourced wood. An abstracted forest mural painted on silk adorns a wall in the dining area, as marble surfaces mimic the sparkling ripples of a pond. Immersing guests in a space that reflects the ecological wonders and tranquility of Central Park, the Delacorte Presidential Suite invites them to embrace the serenity and harmony of nature while indulging in the luxurious comfort of their surroundings.
