Villa San Michele, Axel Munthe – Located on the northeastern slopes of Anacapriat 327 meters (1,072 feet) above sea level, the villa offers astonishing views over theGulf of Naples. The site was once occupied by an imperial Roman villa, whoseruins can still be seen in the splendid gardens. San Michele was the residence ofAxel Munthe, a Swedish doctor who stayed here between 1896 and 1910. Today thevilla is operated by the Axel Munthe Foundation as a museum, which hosts worldclass cultural and naturalist events.Church of San Michele Arcangelo- This church is located in the centre of Anacapri.Built in the late '600, it has a beautiful floor in majolica. It represents an imagepainted by the famous artist Solimene that shows Adam and Eva in Eden.
Villa Damecuta- In the western part of Anacapri one finds the ruins of one of thetwelve residences of the Roman emperor Tiberio. From Damecuta you can admireone of the most beautiful views of the whole island of Capri.Punta Carena forts and lighthouse – Built by the English in 1806 and extended bythe French after they took Capri, the forts and lighthouse were recently restored totheir former glory. Perched on a rocky promontory with stunning scenery, at theisland's westernmost point stands the lighthouse, the second most importantlighthouse in Italy with the second strongest light.
