Blue Door Bistro
The long established Blue Door Bistro makes for a homely setting with a menu to reflect just that. Commended with an AA rosette for its cuisine you can rely on good honest food as well as a wide range of vegetarian dishes and salads, all seasoned with the freshest of herbs from Chef's kitchen garden.
Al Fresco Dining
The Montague on the Gardens is the perfect place for al fresco dining. Enjoy warm summer's evening or lunch time overlooking the private gardens of the Bedford Estate. If it's a traditional English afternoon tea or a lovely cappuccino on our terrace or even a hearty barbecue or spit-roast meal on our Wood deck, our team will make sure that all your needs are catered for.
Afternoon Tea
At the Montague we have two conservatory areas, which overlook the peaceful private gardens and allow you time to relax and enjoy our Traditional Afternoon Tea, served between 12:00 and 18:00 each day. Choose from either The Montague High Tea, which includes homemade finger sandwiches and tea pastries or Cream Tea with homemade scones and Devonshire clotted cream. The Montague is also proud to be a member of The Tea Council Guild of Teashops. We are also able to organise a private reception in our conservatorys.
Bar
The Montague features a cosy Bar with live music every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evening. An extensive cocktail list will ensure a relaxing end to the day.
Cigar Terrace
With comfortable seating, ample heating and lighting, a full range of fine accessories, books about cigars in our library and regular cigar tastings, our outdoor terrace overlooking the secluded private gardens of the Bedford Estates is the ideal setting in which to enjoy your cigar. With blankets and cushions, outdoor heating and an awning to keep the cold and rain at bay, our Cigar Terrace is a haven of tranquillity - you will struggle to find a more pleasurable place to pass the time and gather with like-minded guests and other connoisseurs that share your passion.
The Cigar Terrace offers a spacious humidor cabinet with the best, the latest and the exotic from the cigar world. Our Cigar Terrace menu offers suggestions for the best snacks and drinks including cognacs to complement your cigar experience. Our cigar sommelier works closely with Hunters & Frankau to source the latest and best regional edition, limited edition and vintage cigars on the market for you to enjoy.The Ski Lodge

The Wood Deck will be transformed into a magical ski lodge; with pine trees, falling snow, reindeer, snowmen, ski racks, piste maps and strings of fairy lights and lanterns. The centrepiece is a bar serving a selection of beverages from a choice of 12 including Schnapps and flavored vodkas.
To help combat the cold and lightly drifting snowflakes, guests can enjoy our delicious candied pecans, mulled wine, hot spiced cider, mugs of steaming hot chocolate cocktails and big woolly rugs, which will all help to keep you lovely and snug during the long winter nights. Or head to the Lanson Winter Lodge - an atmospheric space to enjoy a drink in front of a decorative fire, Christmas tree and cozy armchairs and sofas complete with blankets.Log Cabin
