PARROT CAY MANGROVE ECO-TOUR

The three hour eco-tour uses kayaks to explore the mangrove channels that weave up inside the nature reserve adjacent to Parrot Cay. Look for marine and bird life and learn about the tropical ecology. Beginner kayakers and children are welcome. Singe and tandem kayaks are available with basic lessons provided. The excursion is approximately four hours and is tide dependent.

PRIVATE BOAT ECO-TOURS

Boat eco-tours are available on one of Big Blue's three, 26 to 40 ft vessels. All trips are tailored to the guest's preference and can be incorporated into the trip so that uncertified guests can take part. Lunch is generally enjoyed onboard or available at local restaurants.

WEST CAICOS This uninhabited cay has some of the bluest waters in the island chain. Experience beautiful coral reefs, cliff diving, hiking to historic Yankee Town and the mysterious Lake Catherine. learn about the unique geology of the island and explore the fossil reefs high above the waterline. It's a full day adventure that will leave you both exhausted and satisfied.

FRENCH CAY AND WEST SAND SPIT French Cay is a small wildlife sanctuary that lies on the edge of the wall about 20 miles to the southwest of Parrot Cay. A pristine coral reef sits adjacent to the island and there is an abundance of bird life. If the tidal conditions are good, it's possible to continue to West Sand Spit, a small sandbar that emerges at low tide on the edge of the Caicos Bank. This is an incredible natural phenomenon that has to be seen to be appreciated.

TIKI HUT LUNCH

Sample an afternoon of intimate seclusion with your own private tiki hut on Parrot Cay's beach. Enjoy a gourment picnic lunch, and let the afternoon drift away. Choose between the hours of 11am 4pm for a two-hour reservations. Your choice of dining menu is available from Guest Services.

NORTH CAICOS ECO-ADVENTURE

The proximity of North Caicos makes this an ideal opporuntity for Parrot Cay guests to explore a different side of the Turks and Caicos. The full day eco-tour involves exploration of the island by both kayak and vehicle. You can paddle the tranquil waters of Bottle Creek, tour the planation ruins and visit Flamingo Pond Nature Reserve. Enjoy a delicious lunch in the home of local matriarch and accomplished chef, Susan Butterfield, and take time to walk around the picturesque village of Kew.
