Cyprus

From the writing of ancient Greek poets to modern tourist brochures, Aphrodite has been almost synonymous with Cyprus throughout history. Mythology has it she rose from the sea-foam, the goddess of beauty and love is above all a Cypriot goddess. Cyprus is an island steeped in history and has a rich cultural heritage. Visitors and tourists that travel to Cyprus have an overwhelming choice of ancient monuments, archaeological sites, and museums to visit. This is particularly so in Paphos, which has been included in UNESCO’s list of World Cultural Heritage sites.
