Bhamo
Bhamo is a ciry in northeastern Myanmar (Burma), on the Irrawaddy River at the head of navigation. It is along the river’s east bank and is comprised of a series of villages approached through a narrow passage; the town proper occupies a high ridge running at right angles to the river. It is linked by air and steamer service to Yangôn (Rangoon) and by air to Mandalay.
