Bagan
Bagan (Pagan) is a temple town located on the eastern bank of the Ayeyarwady River, in central Myanmar (Burma). Bagan is famous for its Buddhist monuments, which include approximately 2,000 pagodas and temples in varying stages of preservation covering an area of 16 square miles. Most of the area around Bagan is flat and connected by paths, making bike rental or horse cart a popular way to see the sights.
