Talcahuano

One of the best harbors in Chili, Talcahuano and its surrounding areas have some of the best seafood around!

Sites to see include the Peruvian warship Huascar, whose capture decisively established Chilean naval supremacy during the War of the Pacific (1879) that is anchored in the harbor. Also, a trip to the seaside promenade Ventana al Mar would be worthwhile. There are also beaches of Ramuntcho and Rocoto, a museum and of course, the fish market.
