Obviously, a city of superlatives, there is a reserved, gentlemanly quality about the citizens of Hamburg. Hamburg is a busy city of docks, quays and ships; the St. Pauli quarter where movie houses, restaurants, stage shows, bars and frivolous nightlife vie for patronage of thousands of tourists, sailors and locals. Hamburg is every shoppers dream and through its port, the city offers a wide range of varied and well-priced goods from elegant shopping to young fashion and antique shopping. Music and theater play a prominent role in Hamburg's daily life with the Hamburgische Staatsoper enjoying an international reputation for the staging of ballet repertoires. Its spacius, ice-free harbor is ringed with thousands of tiny islands, a haven for swimmers, boaters and sport fishermen. Along the waterfront, in the silent Christiansholm fortress, and the charming houses of the historic center, you’ll find a peaceful serenity.
Founded in the 8th century and one of Norway's oldest towns, Stavanger is situated along the Byfjord, an arm of the Stavangerfjord. A bishop ruled the city from the twelfth through seventeenth centuries. At the end of the eighteenth century, Stavanger had developed a successful merchant shipping fleet and during the next century developed herring fishing and canning industries. Appealing echoes of that proud heritage live on amid the evocative cobbled streets of Gamle (Old) Stavanger, whose whitewashed 18th century houses are probably northern Europe's best-preserved community of wooden houses. It has a well-preserved 12th century stone church.
With its spectacular setting among seven hills, Bergen is one of the most beautiful and enjoyable cities in Norway. Most sites are within an easy walk from the harbor. From fine surviving medieval buildings to a series of good museums such as Fishery Museum and Old Bergen open-air museum, Bergen offers a wide variety of attractions. Its scenic beauty can best be appreciated from Mt. Floyen and is captivating. Enjoy this lovely city by taking a stroll to the old part of town, passing impressive 12th-century Bergenhus fortress. Old Hanseatic Wharf, called Bryggen, is where reconstructed gabled buildings house workshops, boutiques and restaurants. St. Mary's Church is Bergen’s oldest building and one of the finest Norman churches in Norway. Rasmus Meyers Collection is a rambling townhouse featuring one of the best collections of Norwegian art, including an upper floor devoted almost entirely to Munch. Bergen boasts numerous historic buildings dating from medieval times: Bergenhus Fortress; Rosenkrantz Tower; Haakon’s Hall.
Flåm is the destination of the 12-mile branch line of the train from Myrdal, a 50-minute ride that plummets nearly 3,000 feet into Flåm Valley. The tiny village lies at the end of the Aurlandsfjord, amid meadows and orchards, surrounded by towering mountains. A trip on famous Flåm Railway is a thrilling experience. Its track took four years to complete and leads through breathtaking mountain scenery, past cascading waterfalls and through hand-dug tunnels. At one point the train travels through a reverse tunnel in order to negotiate a gradient of nearly a thousand feet, making it one of the steepest anywhere in the world. It operates year-round - a great tourist attraction during the summer and a local lifeline during deep winter. Strolling around the few souvenir shops or walking in the picturesque Aurland Valley are popular pastimes. Guests interested in exploring on their own would enjoy a hike in the countryside. The picturesque setting among orchards and meadows draws visitors to this serene and peaceful place.
At the head of three valleys amid the peaceful surroundings of the Inner Nordfjord, Olden is the key to a not-to-be-missed journey up to the frozen cascade of the million years old and ever-advancing Briksdal Glacier, best-known of the gigantic, Jostedal's many icy arms. An Iron Age burial mound was discovered in this region of Western Norway, but in more recent history, most of the town was settled in the seventeenth century. In Olden, an historic church was built in 1746 and survived the Second World War.
Andalsnes is a popular tourist resort surrounded by mountains. Andalsnes is the ending point for a ride on the Trollstigvein (troll's path), a zig-zag drive up mountains and over waterfalls that's out of this world! In World War II, the town was heavily damaged when the Germans pushed back (1940) an Allied landing.
Norway's royal residence since 997 AD, when King Olaf I founded Trondheim, the city still boasts Stiftsgarden, the huge wooden palace. A century later, St. Olaf II began to perform miracles for the people, making Trondheim a major pilgrimage destination. Be sure to visit Nidaros Cathedral, where the Norwegian kings are still crowned, which is certainly one of Europe's premier Gothic-style churches.

Narvik is an ice-free port in northern Norway. This city fell to the Germans in World War II when they invaded Norway on April 9, 1940. Intense fighting broke out in the city and when the tide is right, you can still see the bow of the Gerrman destroyer, the Georg Thiel portruding from the harbor. Main tourist attractions in Narvik include Killer-Whale safaris in late fall and winter and various outdoor activities, such as hiking, fishing, cmaping and mountain climbing. Many also come to the harbor to scuba dive to explore the ship graveyard leftover from the war.
The municipality´s centre of administration and trade, with about 1,600 inhabitants and well-developed services, including a hotel, cafes, restaurants, auto repair shops, specialty shops, a pharmacy, bakery, movie theatre, swimming pool, and other services. Seydisfjördur is long and narrow and flanked by high mountains. At its head lies the town of Seydifjordur, which has one of the best natural harbors in the country. The oldest part of the town is built in 19th century Norwegian-style architecture, making Seydisfjördur a unique Icelandic fishing towns. Seydisfjördur is close to the Faroe Islands and Europe. A Faeroese passenger and car ferry has operated scheduled weekly sailings between Seyðisfjörður and Scandinavia during the summer, and this has attracted considerable tourism to the area. The cultural life is very lively during summer. The Á Seyði Art festival is a yearly event. The Blue Church has concerts every Wednesday in summer. Art exhibitions are at the cultural center, and there is a Crafts Market. There is a swimming pool, a golf course, mini golf and the Rarik electricity museum. Also offered are guided sightseeing tours, cruises, sea angling tours, and trips to Lodmundarfjördur fjord. There are a variety of marked hiking trails in the area, and fishing licenses are available.
The most interesting places to visit in Iceland are Dettifoss, Myvatn, Goðafoss, Krafla, Ásbyrgi, the park in Jökulsárgljúfur canyon, the fossils at Tjörnes, the ghost valleys of the north. Húsavík is known for being the whale watching capital of Iceland. The bird life offers unique nature experience on sea for tourists. Lundey (also known as Puffin Island) is an island colony of 100.000 puffins and other cliff dwelling birds. The beautiful garden in the center of town and the river running through it provides life for many birds. The Folk Museum has one of the largest polar bears ever caught locally. The well-timbered church built in 1907 is open for visitors during summer. The town is a starting point for sightseeing tours and one-day excursions to many famous places found in the north, like Lake Myvatn, Jökulsárgljúfur canyon, Hljódaklettar, Hólmatungur, Ásbyrgi, Tjörnes peninsula, Adaldalur valley, Laxárdalur valley and the Grenjadarstadur Folk Museum. Húsavík is an environmental friendly town - where geothermal water heats all houses and heats or dries industrial products.

Akureyri is one of Iceland's oldest towns, and features picturesque historic houses set below snowcapped peaks, botanical gardens and several museums. Explore the interior to see Godafoss Waterfall and Lake Myvatn. It is the largest settlement outside the south-west of Iceland, and one of the country's largest cities. The name means "Meadow Sandspit" in Icelandic. Akureyri is an important shipyard and fishing port, as well as a commercial and distributing centre for agriculture and manufacturing.

Siglufjordur is a quiet fishing village located within an isolated narrow fjord in northern Iceland. The small town at one point was home to 3,000 inhabitants, however since the 1950’s has drastically shrunk. Siglufjordur as of the year 2011 reported a population of only 1,206 locals. Visitors can enjoy skiing, private tours of the area as well as the Herring Era Museum which is enjoyed by many. During the aurora spring & autumn seasons, the sky shines with vibrant neon shades that light up the charming small town.

Reykjavik, or Smoky Bay, was so named in 874 A.D. by Ingolf Arnarson when he sighted the numerous hot springs on the Seltjarnarnes Peninsula.
