St Pierre is the southernmost island of the territory of St Pierre and Miquelon situated in the North Atlantic Ocean south of the coast of Newfoundland. Sydney (Nova Scotia)

Sydney is located on Cape Breton Island on the east side of the Sydney River. Sydney has a strong ethnic population. As the only significantly industrialized district in Atlantic Canada, Sydney is the heart of Nova Scotia’s second-largest urban cluster. The city’s central business district impresses with the variety of products and services offered by downtown merchants. The town has become an important gateway to the scenic and historic attractions of Cape Breton Highlands and for cruising on the Bras d’Or Lakes. On the city outskirts is Fortress Louisbourg National Park, presenting Canada’s largest historical reconstruction. Here visitors can enjoy a town perfectly restored to its 1740 appearance. A walk on the half-mile Boardwalk promenade in the heart of downtown provides a panoramic view of the harbor. Apart from Louisbourg Fortress, the town also features a railway museum at the Sydney and Louisbourg Historical Society and the Atlantic Statiquarium, a marine museum devoted largely to underwater treasure.

Gaspe

The picturesque town of Gaspe is situated on the rugged eastern coast of the Gaspe Peninsula in Quebec Province. The peninsula forms the southern entrance to the St Lawrence River and is dominated by forested ranges of the Appalachian Mountains, such as the Chic-Chocs (also called Shickshock) Mountains, in the northern interior, which include one of the Gaspé's loftiest points, Mount Jacques-Cartier (4,160 ft). The peninsula has numerous rivers and lakes and large areas of wilderness, which afford excellent opportunities for hunting and fishing. The peninsula has several large parks, notably Forillon National Park, on the eastern coast, and Gaspésie Provincial Park, in the Chic-Chocs. Iroquoian-speaking tribes were living on the Gaspé Peninsula when the French explorer Jacques Cartier landed there in 1534. The Micmac tribe inhabited the peninsula by the 1600s. The peninsula is probably named after a Micmac word meaning "land's end".

The town of La Baie is located in the province of Quebec and sits at the tip of a majestic fjord. There is much speculation in what prompted the city's founding fathers to call the town by such a name and maybe while visiting, the answer will come. Surrounded by prisine wilderness, those who visit the town usually engage in all things outdoors. Hiking, kayaking, bicycling and whale watching expeditions are all within reach.
